Fresh Beats Unleashed: New Releases from Isaiah Rashad, DJ Khaled, Gucci Mane, and More
This week’s New Music Friday signals a significant return for several artists in the hip-hop scene. After a five-year hiatus, Isaiah Rashad kicks off the rollout for his upcoming album with the track “Same Sh!t,” a southern-infused banger that captures the essence of feeling trapped in a loop. His highly anticipated third LP, It’s Been Awful, is set to drop on May 1.
Also making a comeback is DJ Khaled, who teams up with trap heavyweights Future and Lil Baby for the lead single “One of Them” from his long-awaited 14th album, Aalam of God. Meanwhile, Snoop Dogg continues his prolific output following his acquisition of Death Row Records, reuniting with notable collaborators like Pharrell, Swizz Beatz, and Erick Sermon on his new album, Ten ‘Til Midnight, which coincides with his recently released film of the same name.
One of the most talked-about releases this week is Gucci Mane’s “Crash Dummy,” a bold diss track directed at Pooh Shiesty and Big30, who are currently facing federal charges. Additionally, Yasiin Bey (formerly known as Mos Def) shares a rare freestyle over the beat from Future, Metro Boomin, and Kendrick Lamar’s “Like That” via his Substack channel.
Other noteworthy releases include:
- Doechii feat. Lady Gaga — “Runway” (from The Devil Wears Prada 2 Soundtrack)
- Joyner Lucas — ADHD 2 Reloaded featuring Big Sean, Chris Brown, NBA YoungBoy, and more
- Kehlani feat. Missy Elliott — “Back and Forth”
- BossMan Dlow — Chicken Talkin Bastard featuring G Herbo, DaBaby, Trey Songz, and others
- Nelly Furtado & Boi-1da — “Electric Circus” (Canada Soccer 2026 World Cup Anthem)
